12月21日のボランティア養成講座は、「English RAKUGO」をみんなで鑑賞しました。
演者は FESSのメンバーのお二人です。
古典落語の英訳されているものが結構あるのですね。
とはいえ、日本語でお話し全部を覚えるだけでも大変ですし、英語で覚えてしかも人前で話すにはどれだけ練習されたんでしょうか？

Hello friends! I told a Rakugo story in English at FESS workshop the other day. That was my great pleasure, but I was afraid I could not have given the audience a lot of laugh, though.
Performing Rakugo is useful for me to memorize words, phrases and whole stories. In addition,I need to use easy, concise and comprehensive words so that my friends listening may be able to understand more clearly. I believe these advantages will be true for everybody.
Smiling bridges the gap between people. Rakugo can do!, too.

Comment: ３年ほど前から英語落語を聴く機会があって、自分でもやれれば楽しいだろうなと思っていました。今回エイヤでやってみたのですが、長いストーリーを暗記し、皆さんの前でパフォーマンスするのは正直非常にタフでした。でも、簡単な英語の表現でこんな微妙なことが言えるのかと言葉の奥深さを再認識しました。これからも私なりに続けていきたいと思います。
